Elizabeth F. Schopp passed away May 18, 2018 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years; Lloyd K. Schopp who passed away one year ago this month. Ms. Schopp worked as an Accountant for many years before retiring. She enjoyed traveling and loved animals. Friends my visit on Thursday, May 24th from 9:00 a.m. until  noon at Donahue Funeral Home, 123 N. School Street, and are invited to attend Graveside Services on Thursday, 12:30 p.m. at Lodi Memorial Cemetery, 5750 E. Pine Street.

Frances Elwilda Fisher, 85, passed away May 19, 2018 at her home in Stockton, CA. Visitation will be held on Fridays May 25, 2018 from 11-4 p.m. and her funeral will be held Saturday May 26 at Donahue Funeral Home in Lodi at 10:00am.

Frances was born on December 25, 1932 in Boone, Iowa to Roy and Navada Fisher. She is preceded in death by her parents, her son Matthew Trujillo of Stockton, her brothers; Al Fisher, Bill Fisher and George Fisher, and her sister-in-law, Kay Fisher all of Lodi. She is survived by her children Mark Trujillo (Kathleen) of Stockton, Lewis Trujillo (Debbie) of Mt. Prospect, Il and daughter Diane Leavitt (Brian) of Sammamish, WA. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren; Jean Trujillo, Michelle Trujillo, Matthew Trujillo, Patricia Delgado, Harlan Trujillo, Nathan Leavitt, Rachel DiBello, Benjamin Leavitt and Zachary Leavitt; two great-grandchildren, Jonah and Quinn DiBello; and nieces Mary Hinkle and Lisa Keszler both of Lodi.

Frances graduated from Lodi High school in 1949 and attended Stockton College and San Diego State. She worked as a Business Manager and Secretary/Treasurer for 45 years at auto dealerships in the Central Valley and Bay Area. She was a devoted mother and grandmother; always involved in PTA, scouts, school and church activities. Frances will be remembered for her kind, caring heart, always quick to take in anyone in need.

RICHARD MILTON STEVENS

SEPTEMBER 18, 1930 – MAY 17, 2018

Richard was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. At the age of three his father died, and Richard was placed in the German Protestant orphanage of New Orleans. At the age of sixteen he joined the Army Air Corp. After his three years of service he returned to New Orleans to work for Southern Railroad. In 1952 he joined the US Navy and was stationed in Memphis, Tennessee where he met Mary Lou Gist. They married in 1954. He was most proud of rising to the rate of Aviation Electronics Technician Senior Chief in a short time. He loved the Navy and served 22 years deploying on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam Conflict (66-67-68) with squadron VAW11 E2 aircraft, based in Coronado California. At the time of his retirement in 1971 he was serving on the Admiral’s Staff in Alameda, CA. He later worked as a civilian employee for NASEU, Moffett Field as a Field Service Rep. He retired after 20 years to Stockton, California. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lodi. His life centered around his family.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Lou Stevens

Benjamin W. Wilkinson Oct. 20, 1957 – May 10, 2018
Benjamin (Ben) W. Wilkinson passed away peacefully during his battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and friends on May 10, 2018. Ben was born in St. Joseph’s Hospital on Oct. 20, 1957. He was a graduate of AA Stagg High School, class of 1975. During his teens he was a member of the Stockton Police Commodores Drum and Bugle Corps where he was a member of the drum section and traveled the country during the summers with the corps. During his late teens he worked at the Stagecoach Restaurant, where he learned to love the restaurant business. He then became interested in the radio business where he worked for KSTN and then KWG as promotional director. While there he worked with radio personalities Ross Brown, Jack Kirkwood, and station director Ken Thompson. Ben was then drawn back to the restaurant business and worked at some of the finest restaurants in Stockton and Lodi. Ben spent the rest of his life as a host/manager working at Papapovlos, LeBistro, and Hazels in Lodi. Most recently he worked at Bud’s Seafood Restaurant until he was forced to retire due to his illness.
Ben was always known for his upbeat personality, keen sense of humor and ability to make people laugh. He was extremely popular with his many, many friends and family members, had a kind heart and was known to many as “Gentle Ben”. He was extremely loyal and will be greatly missed.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father Jack Wilkinson.
He is survived by his mother Shirley Wilkinson, sisters Patty (Don) Doty, Jenni (Rowan) Wilkinson, his uncle Paul Juencke, and nephews Jake (Lauryn) Doty and Dustin Doty, and many, many cousins.
The family wishes to especially thank Ben’s dear friends: “Corvette Nancy” Furr for getting Ben to his many Dr. appointments and the Dr’s and staff at UC Davis. To Debbie “Brack”-Duplichan and Carol “Smoochie” Williams who faithfully stood by Ben during his illness and were at his side in the hospital during the many months of his illness. Our family is humbled by their love and dedication to our Benny. We would also like to thank his cousins Muffin & Telpher Mangrum for their endless love and support and the wonderful staff and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the personnel of Hospice of San Joaquin who were always on call with their loving and kind care.

Son of Dr. David Stennick and Helen Fick Stennick, David Henry Stennick, Jr. was born in Lodi, Ca, November 3, 1924, and passed away on May 8, 2018. David graduated from Lodi High School in 1942, where he played football and basketball on two champion teams. In January 1943, his attendance at Sacramento College was cut short when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII. At age 18, he served in Africa, Italy, Egypt, and South America. He also served in the South Pacific, Guam, and the Phillipines as a flight radio operator and radio navigator. David had the honor of being assigned to the four-airplane mission that delivered President Franklin Roosevelt to the Yalta Conference in 1942. David proudly served his country in WWII and had the utmost respect and gratitude for his Japanese-American classmates, their sacrifices and their courage in battle and in internment camps. After his discharge from the service in 1945, he attended College of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

David met his future wife Adeline in 1948, in Lodi CA, where she was a newly-arrived school teacher from Gonzales, CA. At the time, he was employed by the Lodi Fire Department, and later took a sales position with the Colgate Palmolive Company. In 1962, he joined Tokay Motors car dealership, and then Peters Pontiac-Cadillac-GMC in Lodi, CA. In 1973, David was among those salesmen honored at the Cadillac Crest Club Recognition Banquet at Harrah’s Tahoe. He also worked for Pacific Bell Telephone as a District Manager. David retired in 1986 to “join his friends in golf.”

David’s life-long passion was golf. At the age of 69, he won the NorCal Golf Association President’s Flight at Pebble Beach, CA. Throughout his golfing life, David made several holes-in-one, and in 2015, at the age of 90, he made a hole-in-one at the Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore, CA. David played golf in Portugal, Scotland, Hawaii, Mexico, and on numerous courses across the US.

In his younger years, David loved to hunt and fish, and traveled to Montana and New Zealand to pursue those activities. In his later years, he enjoyed the outdoors and would always note when the Sandhill Cranes passed through Lodi on the Pacific Flyway.

David was very active in civic and fraternal organizations in Lodi. Among these were the Elks Lodge, the Eagles Lodge, and the IOOF. David was a charter member of SIRS. Since 1975, David has been a proud member of

Alcoholics Anonymous, and put himself, body, mind, heart, and soul into reaching out and supporting his fellow friends in AA.

In their retirement, David and Adeline went on Elder Hostel trips to New Orleans and New Mexico, and traveled extensively in Switzerland and New Brunswick, Canada to visit relatives.

David is survived by his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Adeline Stennick, his four children, Amanda Stennick of Sacramento, CA; Joan Stennick of San Francisco CA; Dirk Stennick, of San Francisco CA; and David Stennick III, and daughter-in-law Genie Stennick, of Anaheim, CA; his sister Sandra Brady of Sacramento, CA; and his cousin, Janet Greene of French Lake, New Brunswick, Canada. David is also survived by two beautiful granddaughters, Emma Stennick and Kate Jolie Olsen.

Asked the question “What is the greatest gift you have received in life?” David answered, “My wife Adeline and our four children.”

Viewing of the body will be on May 16 and 17, at the Donahue Funeral Home, 123 North School Street; a rosary will be held Thursday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Donahue Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Friday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 215 West Walnut Street, with interment immediately following at Lodi Memorial Park and Cemetery, 5750 East Pine Street. A reception will follow at the Oddfellows Hall, 6 South Pleasant Avenue.

Gg Rae Hutson (Campbell) beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away April 11, 2018, at Doctor’s Medical Center in Modesto, California, surrounded by her dear family and cherished friends. She was born May 28, 1956, in Lodi, California, to Bob and Clara Campbell. Gg is survived by her daughter, Jenah Gillaspy (Jeff), grandsons, Braden and Logan; sisters, Kai Thoni (Fred) and Betty Edwards; sister-in-law, Eileen Swingle, ten nieces and nephews, and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew, her parents, her brother, Stanley Swingle, her brother-in-law, Darrell Edwards, and her nephew, Mark Edwards.
Gg was born and raised in Lodi and spent her entire life here. She had a career as a cosmetologist. She was a lifelong member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where her gentle voice allowed her to participate in the church choir as well as Morningstar, an all-female choir. Gg always enjoyed being with family and friends and loved to laugh. She was an extremely humble servant of God continually seeking to put others before herself, and she was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Gg’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ sustained her through the good and difficult seasons of life. At her request there will be no formal funeral service, but a celebration of her life will be held on her birthday, May 28, 2018, in the Emanuel Lutheran Church Social Hall from 6:00-9:00 p.m. At this time we will celebrate a life lived in the love of Christ with worship, prayer, sharing of memories, and a devotional. A light supper and dessert will be served. In true Gg style, her only wish was that those not yet in a relationship with Jesus, please think about the significance and value of their life and realize Jesus’ free gift of salvation to them. She desired most of all that her loved ones come to know the Lord so that she could be reunited with them in eternity.

Orma Inez Pritchard passed away on May 2, 2018 at the age of 107 in Lodi, CA. She was the fourth child born to Alfred F. Pascoe and Ella M. Pascoe at their homestead just north of Wall, South Dakota. She graduated from Wall High School in 1928.
Orma married Dewey Pritchard in 1939 in Stockton, California. They soon moved to Venice Beach where they lived until moving to Lodi in the early 1960’s. Orma had three sisters and one brother living in Lodi. Her family was the center of her life. No one could sit down before Orma would start asking if they needed some coffee or something to eat. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Orma is survived by one step-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews, currently living in Lodi, California; Rock Springs, Wyoming; and Rapid City, South Dakota.
Orma was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred F. Pascoe and Ella M. Pascoe; her step-son; Bill Pritchard; sisters; Hazel Parkin, Bonita Tivis, Eula Parkin, and brothers; Homer Pascoe, Donivan Pascoe, and Donald Pascoe.
Orma’s family would like to thank Vienna Convalescent Home for their loving care of Aunt Orma over the past eight years.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park.

Gordon Schulz, age 86, passed away after complications from a heart attack on April 25 surrounded by his family.
Gordon was born on August 1, 1931 in Carbon, Alberta, Canada. He grew up in Plentywood, Montana where he helped at his parents’ restaurant, The Dairy Lunch, and graduated from Plentywood High School in 1950. His family moved to Lodi and Gordon owned a service station and later worked as a produce manager at Safeway in Stockton. He entered the Air Force in 1951 and served at Perrin Air Force Base, working in the finance office, in Sherman Texas. It was there where he met the love of his life, Janet English, who was working as a secretary in the Wing Headquarters. Gordon and Janet fell in love and had a wonderful marriage for 64 years until Janet passed away just five months ago. Gordon missed the love of his life and is now reunited with her in heaven.
While in the Air Force, Gordon was sent to Narsarsuaq, Greenland during the Korean War where he served as staff sergeant. After a very cold year away from his new bride, he returned and the couple lived in Louisiana until he was honorably discharged in 1955.
Gordon and Janet moved to Lodi where Gordon became an electrician at General Mills where he worked for 40 years until his retirement in 1995. He worked hard for his family and was known for his friendliness, kindness and willingness to help anyone in need. He touched many lives and will be dearly missed.
His family joked that he had magic hands because he was able to fix just about anything that he touched. He was a devoted and loving husband and father to his daughters, LeAnn Barclay (son-in-law, Jack Barclay) of Galt, and Peggy DeUlloa (son-in-law, Joe DeUlloa) of Davis and grandfather to Joseph Barclay, age 25, and Owen Lingbloom, age 16. He gave everything to his family ensuring they were well taken care of, always felt loved, and had a home where things were organized and in good working order. He was a true partner in life to his wife, Janet, and together they provided the most loving home and childhood experiences for their daughters. The family enjoyed trips to National Parks, camping in the mountains when his daughters were young, and spending time together. Gordon also sang in the choir at the First United Methodist Church in Lodi for many years.
Gordon loved going places and was very active and self-sufficient his whole life. He could be seen frequently in the family’s yard, which he maintained meticulously, tinkering with items that needed fixing in the garage, or working on various cars, which he had a passion for.
Gordon had a love of coffee (which he drank morning, afternoon, and even right before bed). He met with a group of friends to talk over coffee at the Village Coffee shop every day. He also formed a special bond with many of the people at Starbucks where he’d go almost daily for his mocha with whipped cream.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Janet Schulz, his sister, Anna Schulz, brothers, Roy and Irvin Schulz, and parents, Otto and Christina Schulz.
An informal celebration of life with cookies and coffee (of course) will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Lodi, Fireside Room, on Sunday, June 3 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us to share our memories of Gordon as we enjoy treats, coffee, and fellowship.
